A vegan burger chain in Britain has hit the headlines again, this time after a popular fast food restaurant launched a vegan version of their menu.
The news of the fast food company launching a vegan menu was revealed in an article published on the blog of UK restaurant critic, food writer and vegan activist Ramsey Food Processing.
The blog has since gone viral, receiving more than 500,000 views and over 10,000 comments.
Ramsey Food has been one of the most successful fast food chains in the UK, with over 3,000 restaurants worldwide, including the largest in the US.
The company says they aim to be a “one-stop shop” for vegan food, and have created a menu with “everything vegan from organic meat to tofu, eggplant and vegetables”.
Ramsey Foods also said they are “actively” looking for a new vegan chef, with their current head chef in charge of a vegan food line.
Ramseys founder and CEO Peter Murphy has previously expressed his interest in veganism and is currently vegan for the first time.
The fast food chain says that the vegan burger will be available for a limited time in 2018, and that it is already looking for “the next top chef” to become a vegan.
The vegan burger is now available at some UK fast food restaurants, with some of the restaurants also selling veggie burgers.
The UK has one of only a handful of countries in the world where a vegan meal is legal, with the country being the only country in the European Union where it is not.
