Why we don’t want to eat processed foods

The Food and Drug Administration says that processed food products are “more likely to contribute to obesity and to the emergence of type 2 diabetes” than whole foods.

So we’re eating processed food for two reasons: to satisfy our appetite and for profit.

If you’re not buying the whole food version of processed food—think of it as the cheap, processed version of whole foods—you’re eating food that isn’t good for you.

And as food scientists have shown, if you eat the processed version, your health can suffer.
