A new food processing worker who died of ‘post-traumatic stress disorder’

A new meat processing worker has died after collapsing during a routine check-out at a warehouse in south-east England.

A post-mortem examination has yet to be completed.

The worker, who is understood to have suffered a heart attack, died from “shock-related cardiac arrhythmia” on Friday afternoon.

The investigation is ongoing.

The company that runs the warehouse told the BBC it was “deeply saddened and shocked” by the worker’s death.

The coroner has been informed.

The man’s family have expressed “deep sorrow” for his death.

A coroner’s inquest into the death of a meat processing operator was held on Monday.

The inquest is being held at Horsham Coroner’s Court.
